The Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) on April 29, 2025, issued the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conditions of Licence for Existing Distribution Licensees) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2025, to further amend the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conditions of Licence for Existing Distribution Licensees) Regulations, 2006.
This shall come into force on April 01, 2025.
It states that in Regulation 34 after the existing proviso, the following proviso shall be added — “Provided further that, KSEB Ltd. shall remit the licence fee for the next three financial years, i.e., FYs 2025-26, 2026-27 and 2027-28, to the Commission at the rate of 0.015% of the revenue from the sale of power for the previous financial year”
